Quad Cities First nurtures regional businesses and strengthens developing technology through its New Ventures Initiative (NVI).Founded in 2002, the NVI is a regional business incubator and technology accelerator serving Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. New Ventures Initiative operates the New Ventures Center located at 331 W. 3rd Street in Davenport, Iowa. New Ventures Initiative is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) corporation governed by a board of directors.
NVI clients are primarily inventors and entrepreneurs starting new businesses or seeking to expand existing ones. Clients receive customized business planning services, links to funding sources and ventures capital, access to vital business intelligence data, a supportive environment with other like-minded individuals and in some cases, turnkey Class A office space in the New Ventures Center (NVC) located at 331 West 3rd Street in Davenport, IA.
Many NVI programs and services provided by four professional staff are free, while other customized services, such as market research and feasibility studies, are offered for a fee.
